Hey I am looking for a good ranger build for pve. If you could include attributes I would appreciate it.

12 Expertise, 10 Wilderness Survival, 12 Marksmanship

Just use Read the Wind before using Prepared Shot so you can get the energy gain from it. Needling Shot is also nice against almost dead foes due to spammability.

asura rank: high as possible
norn rank: high as possible

skills:

[skill]savage shot[/skill]
[skill]distracting shot[/skill]
[skill]pain inverter[/skill]
[skill]"I am unstoppable!"[/skill]
[skill]throw dirt[/skill]
[skill]sunspear rebirth signet[/skill] or [skill]rebirth[/skill] -for the hard rez(!)
_____alternatively you don't need a rez...if you want can swap out for [skill]epidemic[/skill]=mass blind and/or daze works nicely!

rough bar.but it works immensely well in HM - good tanking ability and great interupts and PI works wonders for casters....enjoy it

No Distracting Shot is bad, Troll Unguent in a team build is bad unless you're splitting, and Natural Stride is miles better than Whirling Defense. Prepared Shot is also not needed as there will be no energy problems with this build unless you're extremely bad.

Just asking for a build isn't the best way to go about learning to play this game. Even on the first page of the ranger forum there are any number of builds.

I would start, however, with this excellent guide that was put together by C. Beaver. It has any number of functional builds for any number of situations.

Once you find a build you like, try it out and try and improve it. When you have specific questions or would like critique on a build you are using currently, you can post a thread asking for advice. But you will learn a lot faster, and be an overall better player if you start with some light reading.
